Method of Closure of the Internal ring in Surgical Repair of indirect Inguinal hernia and Its Significance-About so-called The marcy procedure-

Abstract
The cause of indirect recurrence after the repair of indirect inguinal hernia is failure to close the patulous internal ring. This failure stems from some of the modifications of Bassini's original technique, which have come along with the
misconception
that suturing one or more musculoaponeurosis to the inguinal ligament automatically closes the internal ring. With careful dissection of the cremasteric muscle and the internal spermatic fascia, the internal ring can be identified and sutured to
be
closed against such recurrence.
